Abstract: We discuss several well known inequalities for the Mahler
measure, and show how they can be obtained via coefficient
multipliers for polynomials. Our main tools are the Schur-Szego
composition (or convolution) of polynomials, and related results of
de Bruijn and Springer, and of Arestov.
