Abstract: In this talk I will outline my plans for my dissertation proposal. In particular, I will discuss how my research will relate to and extend previous work for the research grant I work on regarding students’ cross-context ways of reasoning about equivalence. I will also discuss the actor oriented perspective framework (Lobato, 2008) and elaborations of this framework (Lockwood, 2011; Ellis et al., 2021) that I will employ for my study.
