Abstract: The classical Hasse-Davenport product relation is an identity involving products of Gauss sums. In this talk we shall introduce some generalizations of this classical result for epsilon-factors and related arithmetic factors defined on a $p$-adic field $F$. We will then show that some of these generalizations are equivalent to certain representation theoretic identities involving an analog of Shahidi local coefficients for covering groups.
