Automorphic forms in physics
Kim Klinger-Logan, Kansas State University
Host: Melissa Emory
[Abstract] [PDF]
Abstract: Automorphic forms appear in the computations involving the scattering amplitude of gravitons. Due to the Ads/CFT correspondence similar computations have applications to SYM Theory. These computations have inspired deeper questions about the nature of automorphic forms and their analytic behavior. In this talk, I will attempt to present some instance(s) of this physics motivation and discuss some of the mathematical questions that arise from these connections. This research is in collaboration with Steven D. Miller, Danylo Radchenko, and Ksenia Fedosova.
