Abstract: Manin's Conjecture predicts the distribution of the number of points on a Fano variety. Using some heuristics, Batyrev translated these predictions into statements about the spaces of curves on a variety. I will spend some time setting up the Conjecture, then I will talk about work with Lehmann and Tanimoto where we prove the first of these predictions for Fano fibrations over a curve.
