Abstract: Tensors products of modules play a key role in modern mathematics. We will begin by defining a tensor of modules over a communitive ring. Then we prove the universal property of tensors and further properties. Next, we go through examples of where tensors are used. Finally, if time permits, we will go over constructions involving tensors. For example, the tensor, symmetric, and exterior algebras.
