Abstract: Lesson Study (LS) is essential in education because it provides a practical and collaborative approach to teacher professional development and instructional improvement (Lewis et al., 2006). Last semester, I came across an article that highlighted the significance of LS in influencing teacher knowledge and beliefs. The article focused on designing and implementing challenging mathematics tasks to enhance teachers' specialized content knowledge (SCK) and improve their pedagogical content knowledge (PCK). The researchers conducted an explanatory case study and found that teachers evolved from being implementers to transformers and developed insightful beliefs about math teaching and learning during lesson study.
