Senior Honors Thesis Defense Classifying Finite Groups of Order 12 Amelia Goodrich, OSU Abstract: We will show that the five groups of order $12$ are $\mathbb{Z}_{12}$, $\mathbb{Z}_{6}\times \mathbb{Z}_{2}$, $D_{12}$, $\text{Dic}_{3}$, and $A_{4}$. The proof uses basic facts from group theory but does not require the use of the Sylow Theorems or semidirect products.
