Mathematics Education Seminar 3:00 PM MSCS 114 From Middle School to Higher Ed: What a Teaching Internship Taught Me About Undergraduate Mathematics Education Ama Quansah, Oklahoma State University Abstract: This summer I spent six weeks teaching Middle School Mathematics through the Center for Urban Teaching. The experience changed how I think about teaching. In this talk, I share what I learnt and explore what it means for how we teach Mathematics at the undergraduate level. I reflect on how the principles of effective teaching transcend grade levels.
