Abstract: The Nash blowing-up of an algebraic variety is a process by which singular points are replaced by all the limiting positions of tangent spaces of nearby smooth points. In this talk, I will discuss joint work in progress with W. Slofstra and A. Woo where we explicitly construct the (normalized) Nash blowup of a Grassmannian Schubert variety in type A and study its torus-equivariant geometry.
