Topology Seminar 3:30 PM MSCS 509 From veering triangulations to dynamic pairs Henry Segerman, Oklahoma State University Abstract: This is joint work with Saul Schleimer. Agol and Guéritaud show that if we take a closed manifold admitting a pseudo-Anosov flow without perfect fits, drilling the singular orbits of the flow give a cusped manifold that admits a veering triangulation. We prove the converse. Part of our proof goes through the theory of dynamic pairs, due to Lee Mosher. In this talk I will focus on this part of the proof.
