Abstract: A fusion frame is a collection of $n\times n$ orthogonal projection matrices whose sum is a scalar multiple of the identity matrix. Fusion frames have applications in sensor networks where there is redundancy in the information collected. In this talk, I will discuss the connections between combinatorial Littlewood-Richardson skew tableaux and the existence of fusion frames with prescribed ranks.
