Abstract: The Statistics department has undertaken two new initiatives to improve success rates in introductory statistics (Stat 2013 and 2023). Both initiatives, co-requisite support and Supplemental Instruction (SI), have records of success at other colleges. In this talk, I will discuss plans to evaluate effectiveness of the initiatives, including design, co-variates, and measurement.
