Dale has done a terrific job of building the local web site and setting up very convenient on-line registration through OSU Market Place. I encourage all to go to http://www.math.okstate.edu/75th_maa_meeting and check out the web site and the events at the meeting. Historically, OSU has played a very big part in our MAA Section. I would like for our faculty and students to consider making a presentation at the meeting. This is a fantastic opportunity to show our department/program to the Section and recruit graduate students from the participating Colleges/Universities. 2011 Scholarship and Fellowship Awards Ceremony

Dear Friends and Alumni of the OSU Mathematics Department, The annual recognition for undergraduate and graduate students receiving scholarships, fellowships and other awards will be Thursday April 28, 2011. The awards will be presented in room 514 of the Mathematical Sciences building beginning at 3:30. Following the presentations there will be a reception in room 519. To help us plan please let us know if you plan to attend. For information about the previous (2010) awards ceremony look on our website. http://www.math.okstate.edu/awards_ceremony_2010 Room 514 has been recently renovated and serves as a regular or computer classroom. This space was made available after the department of political science moved to Murray Hall. More news will be included in our online newsletter. The 2011 edition should be available in May. Dear Alumni and Friends, If you are coming to Stillwater Oct. 18 for Homecoming, the College of Arts and Sciences will be hosting a reception before the game. I plan to be there. If you would like to see the mathematics department stop by on Friday Oct. 17 before 5:00 pm. If you want to see the Mathematics Learning Resource Center, it was moved because of the renovation of South Murray. The temporary location of the MLRC is on the fourth floor of the classroom building. The department has its main office on the fourth floor of MSCS (Mathematical Sciences) Room 401.
