Abstract of a paper by Madjid Mirzavaziri and Mohammad Sal Moslehian
This is an announcement for the paper "Parallelogram norm" by Madjid Mirzavaziri and Mohammad Sal Moslehian. Abstract: Replacing the triangle inequality by \|x+y\|^2\leq 2(\|x\|^2 + \|y\|^2) in the definition of norm we obtain the notion of parallelogram norm. We establish that every parallelogram norm is a norm in the usual sense.
