The Department of Mathematics at the University of Missouri-Columbia invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in the field of Analysis to begin August 2012. Candidates must present evidence of excellence in teaching and research and must have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent in Mathematics by August 15, 2012. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct independent research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, obtain external funding, and supervise graduate student research. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and statements of research and teaching interests. In addition, arrangements should be made for four letters of recommendation to be submitted to the department. One of these should specifically address teaching.
