Hey Math Friends!

I hope you had fun at the last meeting learning about puzzles that make you smarter!

Our next meeting is not for a little while (Actually, February 21st), but I thought I would give you a heads up for my plans. Since we didn't have anyone wanting to give a fun/intellectual talk about math, we decided to have another competition (everyone loves a good 'ol classic style spelling bee competition!).

Okay, well it's not a Spelling Bee, per se, but this game works similarly. It's an Integration Bee. Each participant will work on integrals, every subsequent one getting harder. Don't worry, you don't have to do them in your head or recite them out loud. You work individually on a piece of paper and the last man standing, the 1st place winner, will take home a $20 Hastings gift card and the 2nd place winner a $10 Hastings gift card. Keep in mind that you are only eligible if you have paid your dues and are a member (only $5). So, Hint Hint.... Brush up on some integration techniques if you want to play. If not, you can come watch and eat pizza!! I'll email you all again with the room and time later.
