Hi Math Kiddos! First off, I'm sorry if you shouldn't be getting these emails. If you have emailed me that you want to be taken off the list, then I sent the email to our emailing list administrator, so hopefully you will actually be taken off the list! Sorry again. and secondly, Math club is Tuesday, February 21st at 5:00pm in MSCS 514! We will be competing in an integration bee, so I hope you're not too rusty! The winner will take home a $50 gift card and the second place winner will take home a $20 gift card! That's crazy considering how small math club is. Your chances are great (I know that because of math)!!! Try to arrive a bit early so that we can add you to the list and we can start soon after 5. Here is the flyer with more information. Hi all!! Math club is coming up in ONE week! Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 5pm. If you want to participate in the integration bee, get there kinda early so we can get you signed up. The first place prize is a $50 gift certificate and the second prize is $20 so you don't want to miss this! Pizza will be served when we are done (we're shooting for 6pm)! I hope you can make it. Hey Math Friends! I hope you had fun at the last meeting learning about puzzles that make you smarter! Our next meeting is not for a little while (Actually, February 21st), but I thought I would give you a heads up for my plans. Since we didn't have anyone wanting to give a fun/intellectual talk about math, we decided to have another competition (everyone loves a good 'ol classic style spelling bee competition!). Okay, well it's not a Spelling Bee, per se, but this game works similarly. It's an Integration Bee. Each participant will work on integrals, every subsequent one getting harder. Don't worry, you don't have to do them in your head or recite them out loud. You work individually on a piece of paper and the last man standing, the 1st place winner, will take home a $20 Hastings gift card and the 2nd place winner a $10 Hastings gift card. Keep in mind that you are only eligible if you have paid your dues and are a member (only $5). So, Hint Hint.... Brush up on some integration techniques if you want to play. The employers are looking for full time employees as well as interns.
