Students,
You should all try to make plans to attend the annual meeting of the Oklahoma-Arkansas section of the MAA. IT is held this year on April 1-2 at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK, so it isn't too far.
Events start at 8:30 am on Friday morning with a workshop by a topologist on minimizing surface area in bubble clusters! It should be very informative and fun. One of the invited lectures is also about topology, so it's a nice chance to learn some topics not currently taught in our undergraduate curriculum.
In order to attend, you are supposed to register by March 18 if you are interested in attending either the luncheon or the banquet Friday night. These events are not required.
The link for the conference announcement is on the OK-AR section's web site:

I hope some of you have submitted abstracts for talks.
Have a great spring break.
