Dear colleagues, Below is some information about Simons grant proposals. I strongly encourage you to apply if you don't have other external funding. These grant proposals are very easy to write compared to NSF proposals and don't require nearly the investment of time and effort. I have samples of successful proposals I can share, and we have several people who would be willing to give feedback if you want to others to look at a draft. Funding Opportunity: Simons Foundation Collaboration Grants for Mathematicians The Simons Foundation’s Mathematics and Physical Sciences division invites applications for Collaboration Grants for Mathematicians to stimulate collaboration in the field primarily through the funding of travel and related expenditures. Holistic Science Prize: Call for Submissions

Dear colleagues, On behalf of the Department and the College, I am happy to announce the second annual Oklahoma State University Holistic Science Prize competition, made possible by a generous donation from Professor Emeritus Hermann Burchard. This prize recognizes multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and holistic academic research in the College of Arts and Sciences. Up to two awards will be given each year, $3,000 for a doctoral student and $5,000 for a tenure-track/tenured faculty member. Please see the attached document for a summary of information about the prize, including criteria and submission guidelines. Submissions should be sent electronically to me as a PDF, and I will pass them along to the Award Committee. This year's deadline is Monday, March 2, 2020.
