Dear colleagues, The Department needs someone to serve this year on OSU's Goldwater Scholar Selection Committee, replacing Leticia, who is on sabbatical. According to Jessica Sullins, the Director of Scholar Development, the time commitment shouldn't be too large: reviewing 6-12 applications in early November and attending one selection meeting the week of Nov. 11. Please let me know if you are interested and willing to do this. It is good for us to have representation on this committee because we have had several Goldwater nominees from Math in the past, and we hope to continue to have them.
