Dear colleagues,

This evening I noticed an error in the Cumulative Review election that necessitates redoing the election. Myers was listed as ineligible on the Committee Assignment sheet, but his name was inadvertently left on the board after the Personnel Committee election. I apologize for not noticing this at the time. While we do know those who earned second- and third-most votes, having an ineligible candidate on the ballot changes the voting sufficiently that we need to vote again.

The list of eligible candidates is:

We will place ballots in the mailboxes of the tenured faculty tomorrow. Please vote for two candidates by the end of the business day on Tuesday, August 27, and place your ballot in the box that will be in the front office with Mary or Angie. They will record when you vote. You may also vote by proxy by contacting Mary or Angie.

In the Personnel Committee election, we ended up with just two Professors on the Committee. I will write to the Associate Professors today to get final decisions on whether they to be candidates for Professor. If any does wish to be a candidate for promotion, we will have an election for a special member of the PC holding the rank of Professor. This member will serve only for the purposes of that/those RPT case(s).
