David Bachman (Pitzer college) Title: Bounding the concentration of curvature for topologically minimal surfaces Abstract: Inspired by parallel results in the theory of smooth minimal surfaces, we give limits on how concentrated the curvature of a topologically minimal surface can be. The proofs rely on a similar argument originally given by Hatcher and Thurston, and later revisited by Jaco and Sedgwick, showing that certain sets of boundary slopes must be finite. This is joint work with Ryan Derby-Talbot and Eric Sedgwick.
