This week I will be speaking, 3:30 MSCS 509. Title: From veering triangulations to dynamic pairs Abstract: This is joint work with Saul Schleimer. Agol and Guéritaud show that if we take a closed manifold admitting a pseudo-Anosov flow without perfect fits, drilling the singular orbits of the flow give a cusped manifold that admits a veering triangulation. We prove the converse. Part of our proof goes through the theory of dynamic pairs, due to Lee Mosher. In this talk I will focus on this part of the proof.
