Minutes for Meeting of the Graduate Committee March 3, 1998

Issues discussed:

• Proposal to change stipends was passed by email vote with some descension. Offers have been extended to some students.
• Description of satisfactory progress, TA summer appointments and TA renewals for 98-99.

  Comments and midterm grades will be solicited from faculty. Summary sheets containing grade information and time in program will be prepared.

• Encouraging international students to pass the TSE/SPEAK and ITA exams.
