Graduate Examinations

An important part of a student's graduate degree program is found in the general examinations. Option I of both Master's degrees require a written comprehensive exam. Master's theses and reports must be defended formally. The Ed.D. and Ph.D. degrees require a written comprehensive exam in mathematics as well as an oral qualifying exam, a thesis proposal presentation, and a thesis defense. Ed.D. candidates must also pass a written qualifying exam in education. Ph.D. candidates must pass a language exam.
