New Names and Faces

JaEun Ku is a numerical analyst who received his Ph.D. from Cornell University under the direction of Lars Wahlbin. He spent three years at Purdue as a visiting assistant professor before coming to OSU. His research concerns numerical solutions of partial differential equations, finite element methods and least-squares methods.

Yanqiu Wang is interested in numerical analysis, applied mathematics and in particular in numerical solutions of Navier-Stokes equations. She received her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University where her advisor was Joseph Pasciak. Dr. Wang also spent three years at Purdue as a visiting assistant professor before coming to OSU.

Christopher Francisco's current research concerns the relationship between commutative algebra and graph theory. Dr. Francisco did his doctoral work at Cornell University under the direction of Michael Stillman and did a postdoc at the University of Missouri.
