Two members of the faculty, Drs. Raghuram and Schulze, were promoted to associate professor with tenure in June. Dr. A. Raghuram who received his Ph.D. from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research joined the faculty in 2006. His speciality is number theory and his current interest is in automorphic forms and special values of L-functions. He held visiting positions at the University of Iowa, Purdue University, and University of Toronto. His research is supported by the National Science Foundation and a Humboldt fellowship. Dr. Schulze also came to OSU in 2006. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Kaiserslautern and held a postdoctoral visiting position at Purdue University. His research has been supported by the American Institute of Mathematics and the Mathematical Research Institute at Oberwolfach. His research interest is in singularities and he has developed software for the computer algebra system Singular.
