William graduated with a BA in Applied Mathematics and a BA in Economics in 2006. He finished an MS in Economics from OSU in 2008. Here is what William said when asked about how his OSU experience has helped him:

Retirement of Alan Adolphson by Robert Meyers

On June 1, 2010 Regents and Vaughn Professor of Mathematics Alan C. Adolphson retired from OSU. A reception in his honor was held in the Math Department on April 1, 2010.

News from the Undergraduate Director by Roger Zierau

OSU Mathematics majors had a successful 2010-2011 school year. In addition to normal course work, a number of students completed research projects, senior thesis, internships and competed on our Putnam team.

A number of students took advantage of opportunities both at OSU and elsewhere. These included two prestigious Wentz Scholarships, a research project at MSRI (Mathematical Sciences Research Institute), a semester in Moscow and Internships in applied mathematics.

News from the Graduate Director by Alan Noell

These are busy years for the graduate program. For both the M.S. and the Ph.D. degrees we have three areas of specialization: pure mathematics (about 18 students), applied mathematics (9), and mathematics education (4). We have a strong group of first-year graduate students as well as a significant number who expect to complete work on their dissertation this year or next. And of course there are many students in between.
